His Story
Gaje, our son, was a precious child who was taken too soon from us. He was the light of our eye,
who had a big heart for the world. Gaje was at the top of his kindergarten class and would have graduated with honors the
week after his death.
Gaje was also known as the Gaje Master. This nickname was given to him one day when his dad was
working on a home project. Gaje told his dad that he could fix it for him because he could do anything, he was the Gaje Master.
We laughed so hard over this and the name Gaje Master suited him just right.
Now I lay me down to sleep,
I pray the Lord my soul to keep,
If I die before I wake,
I
pray the Lord my soul to take.
Amen.
A prayer was said with Gaje each night as he was being tucked into bed. This was his favorite
prayer that he had memorized. We still say this prayer in his room each night but his room no longer holds the bed time kisses
that we would give him. I can still hear his voice each night, I will never forget that voice or the sound of his little feet
running across the floor.
Gaje left behind four other siblings who cared a great deal for him.
Gaje was taken all too soon on May 19th of 2007 after a lady backed her truck over him while
he was counting his change in our driveway. Gaje died from severe head trauma, he was laying there lifeless on the pavement
while his dad leaned over him, caressing him and not wanting to let him go. Gaje died shortly after arriving at the hospital
